The Stonegate Pub Company, which owns the Scarborough Flyer in St Nicholas Street wants to move back the area to the left of its entrance door as viewed from the front.

In its submission to Scarborough Council, it states that it is in response to concerns raised by the council and North Yorkshire Police about people standing in the street.

It adds: “The proposals involve shopfront alterations to the left-hand side of the existing shopfront, to effectively recess this element of the existing shopfront to create an external seating area for use by customers.”
