Blondie has announced it will perform a gig in Dalby as part of next year’s Forest Live concert series.
The band, headed by pop icon Deborah Harry, has confirmed a tour of the UK’s woodlands after signing up to the Forestry Commission’s annual shows.
The Forest Live events will see Blondie perform in Dalby Forest on Friday, June 28, next year.
Throughout the tour Blondie will be supported by special guests The Lightning Seeds, who will be returning to the region after headlining Scarborough’s Accoustic Gathering in September.
Blondie has enjoyed a 20 plus year career producing a host of number ones including ‘Heart of Glass’, ‘Sunday Girl’, ‘Atomic’, ‘Call Me’, ‘The Tide Is High’ and ‘Maria’. Their singles success have been complemented by more than 40 million album sales that include recordings like ‘Plastic Letters’, ‘Parallel Lines’ and ‘Eat to The Beat’.
Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow from the Forestry Commission.
Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forests.
