Plea for help with family tree

A WOMAN is asking people in Scarborough to help her trace members of the Shepherd family.

Linda Ellis, of Bridlington, is working on her family history and is hoping people can help her by providing information.

She said: “I’m looking to talk to members of the Shepherd family. William Shepherd and wife Charlotte were married in Scarborough and had children Fred Elsie John and Robert in the town in the early 1900s.

“Their children or grandchildren I hope are reading this. William’s brother Alfred died in WW1 and is listed on the Oliver’s Mount War Memorial.

“His wife Elizabeth remarried, became a Taylor and also lived in Scarborough.”

If you think you can help provide information please call Linda on (01262) 604415.
