Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a man who has been reported missing from home.

Alan Wilkinson, aged 65, was walking along Cayton Low Road near his home in Cayton at around 9.15am on Monday December 8.

He has not been seen since and officers are concerned for his safety due to the length of time he has been missing in the cold weather.

Alan is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, with a medium build, hazel eyes, collar-length grey hair, and tattoos on both arms.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a blue, checked long-sleeved shirt, blue denim jeans, a black jacket, a green body warmer, brown hiking boots and a black woolly hat.

Officers have been making enquiries in the area around Alan’s home address and are appealing for the public to report any sightings of him.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
