Police in Scarborough were called to defuse a raging argument between two men in Foreshore Road on Sunday.

A crowd gathered to watch as officers moved in to separate the pair.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to deal with a 'heated' argument between two men on Foreshore Road in Scarborough.

"The incident, which was reported by council CCTV operators, occurred outside the Olympia Buildings at 4.43pm on Sunday.

"Officers calmed the situation down and gave both men strong words of advice about their behaviour."
