Police hunt driver

Scarborough police are appealing for a driver to come forward after the report of dangerous driving in the town.

It occurred at around 2.45pm on Sunday in Seamer Road.

The incident involved a pedal cycle which was overtaken by a grey Toyota Celica.

The only description of the Toyota driver is that he had dark hair. There was also a woman in the front passenger seat.

PC Leah Gillon, of Scarborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were the driver of the Toyota, I urge you to come forward and contact the police so that I can take a statement from you.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident and ask them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
