Police have identified the woman who was killed in motorcycle crash in Burniston.
The crash happened on Sunday September 13 on the A165.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We are now in a position to identify the woman who died in a collision on the A165 Coastal Road near Burniston, Scarborough.
“She was Samantha Higham, 44, from Accrington.
“At about 10.45am on Sunday September 13, a blue Citroen Xsara Picasso travelling north along the A165 from the direction of Scarborough was in collision with a red Yamaha motorcycle, which was travelling in the same direction.
“Samantha, the pillion passenger on the motorcycle, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s was seriously injured.
“Anyone who saw the collision, or either of the vehicles involved, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
