Scarborough harbour slipways remain closed to leisure users says harbourmaster

Scarborough Council’s harbour master has warned that the borough’s slipways remain closed to leisure users at this time.

Captain Ian Vasey issued the update following the relaxation of some lockdown restrictions earlier this week.

Captain Vasey said: “Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our staff, harbour users, emergency services and our local communities.

“While our harbours team works to return our services to ‘normal’, our slipways are currently not open to leisure users.

“We will review access as soon as we can. Until then, we appreciate your patience while we implement measures for your safety and the safety of our staff.”
