The Grocer Gold Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 13 June at Guildhall, London.

Valerie Aston, director at the Proudfoot Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted. The Grocer Gold Awards are prestigious within the industry, so it’s wonderful to be recognised.”

The achievement continues an already successful year for the group, who earlier this month received the award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community’ at Nisa’s annual awards evening and gala dinner.

Proudfoot received the esteemed award and £2,500 to donate to local causes through the group’s Making a Difference Locally fund at Nisa’s 40th anniversary event.

Valerie Aston said: “Our ethos is to help as many charities and good causes within our area as possible, with donations from £100 up to £1,000. The Making a Difference Locally initiative has opened our eyes to the work of the many groups and organisations within our area of the country who are doing invaluable work to help so many, and we are delighted to be able to support them through the Making a Difference Locally charity.”
