Scarborough Heirloom Quilters’ show is being held at the Ocean Room, Scarborough Spa Complex, on Friday July 10 from 10am.

The biennial three-day quilt show is larger than ever, offering visitors a massive display of quilts including themed challenges, wall hangings, 3D displays, trade stands, sales table, tombola and spectacular raffle prizes.

There will be hands-on activities throughout for adults including mini workshops and a sew-a-thon to create drain bags for local patients undergoing breast cancer treatment. Children can “Name the Doll” and aim to win a sleeping dolly with her quilt.

All proceeds from the show go to three local charities – St Catherine’s Hospice, The Rainbow Centre and Legs for Angel.

The event runs on Friday and Saturday July 10 and 11 from 10am to 4pm, closing at 3pm on Sunday July 12.

Admission is £3 with accompanied children free.
