Huge crowds flocked to Scarborough harbour to see the arrival of Father Christmas by fishing boat.
The annual event proved as popular as ever with around 2,000 people of all ages lining the harbour and pier.
Staff from Boyes were on hand to welcome Santa and escort him to his grotto at the Queen Street store.
Assistant manager Fiona Rickard said: “It went really well and there certainly was a good turnout.
“All the staff love getting involved every year. It’s a lovely time and all the kiddies enjoy it - you can see them getting really excited.”
She added that on Saturday, there were queues at the grotto right through the basement at Boyes.
The grotto is now open until December 24, from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sundays.
It is free to walk through and see the attraction, the only charge is if you wish to buy a gift.
