Santa Dash set to raise thousands of pounds for St Catherine’s Hospice
The event, where participants wither dress up as Santa or a reindeer, is one of the hospice’s biggest Christmas events and attracts people of all ages.
Crowds will gather at Filey Country Park from 10.30am on Sunday December 7 and set off along the 1.5-mile seafront route at 11am.

Hide AdThe route ends at the Royal Parade Café and a free Christmas bus gives lifts back to the car park.
Taking part costs £10 for anyone wanting to wear a free Santa suit (fits 12 years plus) or £5 for adults or children wearing free reindeer antlers.
Registration in advance is essential and closed on Friday 5 December at noon.
Louise Gravestock, hospice fundraiser, said that families from all over the huge area covered by Saint Catherine’s and beyond had registered for the event and they were hoping lots more would join in.

Hide Ad“We’re very happy for people to run, jog or walk the route,” she said. “It’s lovely to start Christmas by helping others and having lots of fun. We’d love people to turn out and give our Santas a cheer as they pass by.” The hospice is also running a Wear a Santa Suit Day on Friday December 12.
