Filey seafront was a riot of red on Sunday as 160 people took part in the St Catherine’s Hospice Santa Dash and Reindeer Run.
Following a warm-up at the start in Country Park, led by Nick Ingham of Compass Gym, the festive fundraisers embraced the spirit of Christmas and ran, jogged or walked the 1.5 mile route before arriving at the finishing line at Royal Parade Café, where refreshments were served.
Hospice fundraiser Louise Gravestock said: “It was great to see so many supporters from our community coming along to join in the festive fun and raise vital funds for patient care. The event attracted lots of young children which was fantastic and they all looked great as running reindeer!”
She added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in helping to make the event a success and the money raised will enable us to continue in the care and comfort of our patients and their families.”
