Scarborough were on the losing side of a draw in their Yorkshire Premier League North outing at Stamford Bridge.
The North Marine Road club got off to the perfect start, with overseas Brad Scott dismissing opener Stuart Boyle with just three runs on the board.
That brought together Yorkshire's Will Rhodes and former Scarborough man Mark Tennant, who took the scoring into the 30s before the latter became Jack Holt's only victim for 23 runs.
Rhodes carried on to put together an innings of 67, with Ryan McKendry adding 48 and Kevin Murphy making an unbeaten 33 at the bottom of the order.
Ben Elvidge emerged as the top Scarborough bowler, taking 5-49 in a total of 209-9.
Skipper Neil Elvidge fell with just one Scarborough run on the board, and a number of batsmen made starts, but failed to push on.
Alex Carrie, Oliver Stephenson, Ben Elvidge, Scott, Luke Tinsley and Linden Gray all made it into double figures, while Jack Holt progressed into the 40s to give Scarborough chance of the win.
They dropped off to 164-9, though Darren Mills and Kristian Wilkinson remained at the crease when the final ball was bowled to give Scarborough some points.
