Scarborough slipped to a rain-hit defeat in their Yorkshire Premier North game at Harrogate.

Scarborough got away to a slow start when they lost Oliver Stephenson with just eight on the board.

Mark Tennant followed soon after, before former skipper Darren Harland took them to 45-3 with his 21.

James Pick struck 60, Ben Elvidge added 22 and Alex Carrie 31 as Scarborough closed on 189-7 from 50 overs.

Because of rain interruptions, the target was altered to 184, and that was easily passed, as Jonathan Tattersall's unbeaten 52 and 40 from George Ross guided Harrogate home with 15 overs to spare.

Richard Ngarava, Sam Carver and James Pick all took a wicket each.
