The Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team volunteers were called by police to help search for a woman who had reported herself lost in Dalby Forest yesterday at 5.43pm.

The woman had sent a message to her partner earlier in the afternoon that she was lost but attempting to retrace her steps to the car park.

When she had not returned in the hour her partner called the police and requested mountain rescue assistance to locate her.
