Landlubbers and salty sea dogs alike flocked to Scarborough’s annual Seafest event.
The maritime festival, which is now in its 17th year, drew thousands of visitors to West Pier on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The packed programme of events featured street theatre, live music, cookery demonstrations.
For younger festival-goers, there were drop-in art sessions and storytelling, plus guided fossil-hunting walks and rock-pooling.
The Animated Objects Theatre Company and their walk-about puppets “Doris and The Deep”, manned by Dawn Dyson-Threadgold and Lee Threadgold, were also out entertaining the crowds.
The festival was staged with the help of a grant by Arts Council England and the support of local sponsors.
