I write this letter with great respect for Scarborough Hospital and in particular Mr Serbon Gheorghiu the consultant surgeon for colorectal surgery.
In June 2011, I sent a test kit to Castle Hill Hospital and was called in for an urgent colonoscopy which proved to be bowel cancer.
I then received a letter from Mr Serbon Gheorghiu for a quick meeting with him. I was then called into hospital on July 14 to be operated on July 15, 2011.
The operation was apparently the worst he had ever done. I told Mr Gheorghiu that I would quickly heal and 12 days later was allowed back home. Some five months later I had an iliostimy reversal instead of some 10 months waiting time.
I now feel and appear to be fully recovered thanks to staff on Maple Ward and Graham Ward and especially the consultant, Mr Gheorghiu.
Nothing was too much or too little for them to be helpful to all the patients in their care.
Once again I would like to thank all the people concerend on behalf of myself and my wife.
