Following in the footsteps of James Herriot – Julian has spent much of his working life as vet in the same practice – he has written two books: Horses, Heifers and Hairy Pigs: The Life of a Yorkshire Vet and A Yorkshire Vet Through the Seasons which explore stories from his working vet life.

Sometimes sad, often funny and always warm and compassionate, his heartfelt tales and amusing anecdotes bring to life the world of the working vet and the highs and lows he faces daily.
