St Martin’s School are celebrating after their recent success at this year’s gymnastic competitions.
Pupils scooped all three team titles for the second year running, landing gold medals in the Year One, Two, Three, Four, Five and Six categories, with the Year Five and Six B team also collecting the bronze.
The competition on floor, vault and body management saw the school take 21 individual medals across all three disciplines.
Gymnasts then travelled to York to represent the area in the North Yorkshire School Games and after excellent performances they came home with silver medals in both Year One and Two, as well as the Year Five and Six age groups.
PE consultant Jo Bowman said “We are delighted with how popular gymnastics has become at the school.
The children enjoy it, but they do work hard up to the competition, so they deserve this success.”
