Roxy is a well-behaved, friendly little dog and is the kind of bright-eyed pooch that any person would be proud to own.

The dog came into the RSPCA Sheffield Animal Centre on November 26 2015, she is black and white and is aged five years and five months. She has no health issues, is a well fed dog, but it is unknown what she is like around children.

Roxy is described by the Sheffield Animal Centre as “a smashing girl who came to them along with her friends Zeus and Heidi, as they were part of a cruelty investigation”.

A spokesman for Sheffield Animal Centre said: “The dogs came to us and they were very underweight and with awful skin, dirty coats and with very sad eyes. Roxy also came in with a very painful leg which she quickly got some great medicine for.

“She is a brilliant and clever little lady with a heart of pure gold and Roxy thoroughly enjoys human company and she loves to play fetch with almost any toy.”

They added: “She isn’t picky. We think she will make an exceptional and loving companion for a suitable family. She really adores food and likes to spend time in the day working out food puzzles that we set out for her. She is really dedicated at getting the very last crumbs to ensure her task is completed efficiently.”

Roxy previously lived with other dogs but does not seem as bothered about having canine companions.

She is happy to potter around other dogs comfortably and will occasionally initiate play but generally seems to prefer to spend her time with people. To find out more visit www.rspcasheffield.org website.
