The York Liberal Jewish Community held another successful service in Scarborough when more than 30 people attended the Sabbat morning service on Saturday 30 July.

Services in the town are now a regular event and the next one will take place in the autumn.

A number of community members were also able to go to the beach to enjoy a picnic.

Rabbi Dr Robert Ash, who travelled from Preston to officiate at the service, said: “It means such a lot to the Jews of Scarborough to be able to attend a religious service in their town.”
