Sudden death of woman in Scarborough not being treated as suspicious

North Yorkshire Police has confirmed it is not treating the sudden death of a woman in Scarborough today as suspicious.

Police were contacted at 9.12am on Thursday April 30 by ambulance services who had attended the sudden death of a woman at a property on Friars Way, Scarborough.

The road was temporarily cordoned off and several police vehicles and an ambulance were at the scene.

Officers are conducting enquiries to determine the circumstances around her death, which is not being treated as suspicious.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed.
