Sweet treats - going ‘cheep’!

These special Easter chicks are set to fly - and help raise much needed funds for Martin House Children’s Hospice.

Knitted by Kathleen Rawlings, 87, who lives in the Old Town, the chicks are on sale for £1 each. Kathleen said: “I’ve been doing this 22 years now. I managed 74 last year, but this year I was determined to make it 100. I enjoy doing it and it keeps me out of mischief!”

Boyes in Scarborough have donated 100 Creme Eggs to go with the knitted covers.

If you would like to buy a chick, please call George on (01723) 374295. They are also on sale at Boyes and Cooplands.
