Teenage girl attacked in town

Scarborough police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was assaulted in the town.

It occurred at around 1am today (Friday) in Woodlands Ravine.

The 16-year-old girl walked past a group of three youths. One of them grabbed her and pushed her against a wall, before she fell to the ground.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a bloody nose, which did not require medical treatment.

The first suspect is described as being aged around 6ft 2in tall with a slim build. He was wearing an orange and yellow hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms with stripes on the lower half of the leg and white trainers.

The second man is also around 6ft 2in tall, with a slim build and was dressed in dark trousers and a hooded top with white trainers.

The third man is shorter with a slim build and was wearing a purple and blue hooded top and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with stripes down the legs.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or can help to identify the men responsible should contact Scarborough police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Stephen Ashley.
