Tesco workers go back to the 80s to support worthy causes

Staff at the Tesco store in Scarborough ran an 80s fundraiser for British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK earlier this month.

Workers at the Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough stores also took part in the fancy dress fundraiser.

A spokesman said: “It was a fun day with colleagues and customers enjoying the 80s atmosphere! Thanks to all involved we collectively raised more than £950 to go towards these great charities.”

Last year, Scarborough Tesco raised £5,000 for British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK, while staff at Filey and Bridlington raised a combined total of £18,000.
