NURSERY school children were having too much fun to be able to sleep at a recent pyjama party.
While venturing outdoors in nightwear may be frowned upon in most cases, youngsters at Headstart Nursery had a good reason for getting on the bus in dressing gown and slippers, after all, it was for charity!
Lyn Johnson, manager of the nursery group, also joined in, together with staff, and donned her cartoon cow bottoms for the day.
She said: “We wanted to support Momentum Brain Injury Centre because it’s a charity that’s not commonly supported and because it can affect children too.
“We’ve raised money for them before, but this time decided to do a pyjama day so all the children could get involved. They all came dressed up and donated £1 to the cause.
“The children absolutely loved it. They thought it was really funny and they’d been in their pyjamas all day, some even came with their dressing gowns on from the bus.
“We’ll raise money for another charity next term, and the children have asked to do another pyjama day.”
