THESE youngsters have food packaging all wrapped up.
Store trainer Fiona Daplyn from Sainsburys in Falsgrave visited Lindhead School in Burniston.
She spoke to two groups of eight to 10 year olds about plastic and cardboard packaging, labelling and recycling.
She took in egg boxes, yoghurt cartons and organic containers which can be used for composting
“Recycling is a key messages. Caring for the environment is part of the company’s values,” said Mrs Daplyn.
The store’s staff often visits schools or hosts events at its Falsgrave branch. Next week children from Northstead School are due at the supermarket to learn about packaging.
