Time running out to ‘Voice your Choice’

SCARBOROUGH community groups and organisations only have a few days left to submit their applications for the Voice Your Choice 2012 funding scheme.

The closing date for applications of Wednesday May 9 is fast approaching.

Grants of up to £2,000 are available to help deliver environmental projects in the Scarborough area.

Projects must benefit residents of the central urban area of Scarborough and be based around improving our built and natural environment.

The scheme, which is run jointly by Scarborough Council and the Urban Area Forum, has more than £19,000 in its pot which has been funded by the Central Urban Area Committee.

Eligible applications will be put forward to a public decision-making event which will be held in June where residents of the central urban area of Scarborough can vote for the projects of their choice.

For further information about the fund, or to request an application pack, contact Scarborough Council’s Neighbourhood Support Officers Kerry Lee on (01723) 232472 or Matthew Joseph on (01723) 383562.
