Weather

The showers we experienced yesterday are scheduled to clear away this morning with conditions staying mostly sunny and fine throughout the afternoon. Most places will stay dry, though the odd shower may drift over from the west. Temperatures are forecast to peak at 6°C between 12pm and 5pm and it will be windiest between 11am and 1pm. The evening is set to be dry but cloudy, with potential showers overnight.

Roadworks

- Stepney Drive

Work to reconstruct footpaths to the east of Stepney Drive are scheduled to start today. They will be carried out between 8am and 4pm on weekdays under temporary traffic light control and are expected to last for eight weeks. These work will replace a worn footpath to improve safety for pedestrians. Drivers are advised to try to avoid Stepney Drive at peak times or allow extra time for their journey.

- Seamer Road

There will be a lane closure opposite B and Q on Seamer Road whilst Northern Powergrid provides a new electricity connection. Delays are likely.

- Scalby Road

Temporary traffic lights remain in place on Scalby Road near Proudfoots.

- The RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch 2020 takes place today in South Cliff Gardens. Three one-hour sessions are being held at 10.30am, 12pm and 1.30pm. Anyone wanting to join in should meet at the South Cliff Clock Tower
