A64 from Staxton to Malton closed every night this week for improvement works

A large stretch of the main route into Scarborough will be closed overnight this week.

The A64 from the A169 at Old Malton to the A1039 at Staxton will be closed in both directions from 8pm to 6am.

The closure is to allow carriageway improvements including resurfacing to take place.

The roadworks began last night (Sunday March 1) and will continue every night this week finishing on Saturday March 7 at 6am.

A diversion route to Scarborough via the A169 to Pickering and along the A170 will be in place and clearly signposted

Other planned roadworks on the A64

The eastbound and westbound carriageways at Knapton will be in narrow lanes until mid March for junction improvements.

The A64 from Seamer to Dunslow will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 2 March for carriageway improvements.
