A MOTORCYCLIST who lost control of his scooter over the weekend was still in a critical condition at Hull Royal Infirmary yesterday.
The 45-year-old was riding his silver 125cc Piaggio scooter along the A64, towards Malton, at 1pm on Sunday when he came off his vehicle.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the road was closed in both directions for more than two hours while officers investigated the incident.
He added that no other vehicles were involved and the rider, from the Leeds area, had hit a barrier suffering serious injuries in the collision.
Anyone with any information about the incident should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for TC Ian Barrett.
