It is reported to have involved two vehicles at the junction of Scalby Road, Falsgrave Road and Stepney Road.
Police have closed Stepney Road from Sixth Form roundabout to the roundabout near the Crown Tavern.
Traffic is building in other parts of town, with long queues on Seamer Road.
