Trains running again between Bridlington and Scarborough

Urgent repairs are being carried out to the rail track between Bridlington and Scarborough.

Trains were cancelled for a couple of hours and Northern says it had asked for replacement buses to be brought in to transport passengers.

Services from Hull and Sheffield were terminating at Bridlington and were not calling at Bempton, Hunmanby, Filey or Seamer.

However, at around 6.45pm, the company announced service were running again but trains are having to travel at reduced speeds.
