Scarborough fire crews were called to rescue two people from separate car crashes overnight.
The first was at 5pm yesterday in Carr Lane, East Ayton when a car hit a wall.
Firefighters were forced to take off the roof to rescue a female passenger in her 60s.
She was taken to hospital by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance with injuries to her pelvis.
The driver, a 50-year-old woman, was treated for chest pains.
Then just after midnight, a car went onto its side in Weaponness Valley Road.
The elderly male driver was removed from the vehicle with suspected pelvic injuries and cuts and bruises.
