Degree intakes at the University of Hull’s Scarborough campus are likely to cease after this year.
The university’s Senate voted on the motion last week and will now be consulted on before a final decision is taken.
A spokesman for the university said: “The Senate endorsed the view that recruitment to current Bachelors degrees on the Scarborough campus should cease after the 2014 intake, such that there will be no intake to those particular programmes in Scarborough for the 2015/16 academic year or thereafter.
“The senate also endorsed the view that some of those programmes should be offered on the Hull campus.”
The spokesman added that the campus ‘would not be closing’.
The Senate is the academic authority of the university.
