VOLUNTEER drivers are being sought to lend a hand at Scarborough Dial a Ride.
The charity is making an urgent plea for people to come forward could spare a day or more a week.
Deputy manager Tim Lawson said: “We need about three to four drivers who can work one or more days a week, from 8.30am to around 5pm.
“They must be over 25 and under 70 and have a full, clean driving licence.
“Our drivers tell us they enjoy the role and get a lot out of it. They feel they’re giving back to society and doing something worthwhile.”
Mr Lawson added that a number of volunteer drivers have gone on to paid employment.
Full training will be given including the MIDAS course for minibus driving.
