THE WT Feaster Band, from Indianapolis in the USA, makes its Scarborough Blues Club debut next Tuesday.

The band has been touring the UK for a few years; its current tour takes in many of the country’s top blues venues, including the Boom Boom Club in Sutton and the Borderline in London.

“I saw them at Redcar Blues Club about a year ago and was very impressed”, says club promoter Mark Horsley.

“The place was absolutely packed. Travis Feaster can certainly play the guitar, along with the very best in the business, but what stood out for me was his ability to incorporate soulful melodies into his songs. It’s not just blistering guitar solos as far as he’s concerned; far from it”.

Feaster’s latest CD, Wish You Well, has been well received by the music press. Blues Matters praised its “boundless energy, telepathic musicianship and a flourish of six-string ferocity”.

Tickets cost £12 (£10 for club members) and can be purchased at Guitar Galleries in Bar Street and Record Revivals in Northway.
