The Pink Army was on the march once again in Scarborough tonight.
More than 1,400 women took part in the town’s annual Race For Life.
The race started from the Sea Life Centre with a 5km and 10km option for those taking part.
Georgina Thornton, Cancer Research UK’s Scarborough event manager, said: “Race for Life is non-competitive. It’s not about being fit or fast. Most women are able to walk 5K in an hour while chatting and having fun. Or they can choose to jog, run or even dance around the course if they prefer.
“With fire in their bellies and trainers at the ready, we knew that Scarborough ladies were up for the challenge.”
