Volunteers needed at music festival

VOLUNTEERS area being sought to help steward a new music festival in Scarborough.

The Future of Music, Oliver’s Mount Festival is being held on June 16 and 17.

In the run up to the event organisers are appealing for stewards.

They have vacancies that need filling on both days of the festival to help people with directions, customer service and alerting security or first aiders and paramedics of any issues.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday 16 between 9am and midnight, and on Sunday 17 from 9am to 8pm.

All volunteers will receive a short induction from professional event security management, as well as a free pass to both days of the festival and free camping on the 16th.

A spokesman for the event said: “If you want to support the arts, music, and help add yet another great event to Scarborough’s festival calendar get in touch.”
