PROSPECTIVE voters in the Hertford ward are being reminded to register in time for the up coming council by-election.
The deadline for anyone who is not already registered to vote is Wednesday, February 29.
Similarly anyone wishing to apply for a new postal vote or change their existing postal vote must also do so by 5pm on the same day.
Any new applications to vote by proxy must be received by Wednesday, March 7.
The by-election will take place on Thursday, March 15.
It was called following the shock resignation of Nick Harvey, who resigned his position after claims that he was being “ignored.”
Four candidates have put themselves forward for the position, including three from Scarborough.
They include Hunmanby parish councillor and Conservative candidate Michelle Donohue Moncrieff of Northgate, in Hunmanby.
Vanda Inman, of Givendale Road, will represent Labour, with Lib Dem Bob Jackman, of Brierley Road, and UKIPs Michael John James, of Coniston Gardens, also in the running.
To register to vote or change postal vote details please contact Scarborough Borough Council’s Electoral Services by telephoning (01723) 232309.
