VW Golf left on its side after crash on Falsgrave Road: Police appeal for witnesses

Police were called to move this toppled-over car from Falsgrave Road in Scarboroughon Saturday.

The red VW Golf was being driven away from the town centre when it flipped on to its side and slid to a stop at the traffic lights halfway along the road.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened at approximately 7.32pm on Saturday.

It is understood the driver was arrested.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident or anyone who had dashcam footage in the area of Falsgrave Road around the pedestrian crossing close to the junction with Commercial Street.

Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the vehicle being driven before the collision or if anyone had dashcam footage of the vehicle before the accident.
