The first pictures of Bridlington in the Dad’s Army film have been released in the movie’s first trailer.

The short teaser sees star-studded actress Catherine Zeta-Jones stroll along Old Town’s High Street, which had been transformed into Walmington-on-Sea for filming.

Dad’s Army was shot mostly in the Bridlington area but other parts of East Yorkshire will also make an appearance.

It comes after members of Bridlington Old Town Association confirmed they were planning to make Bridlington the first in the world to twin with a fictional town.

Dad’s Army is due for release in cinemas on February 5 next year.
