Snow ploughs have been working hard to clear the snowdrifts on roads across the North York Moors this weekend.

Snow which fell during the last week was whipped up by strong winds causing deep snowdrifts on the North York Moors leaving roads impassable in places.

A video supplied by Glaisdale resident Julie Summerson showed just how deep the drifts had become on Egton Lane which connects Egton to the village of Glaisdale.

Conditions are now easing and most routes are passable with care.
