Here's when heavy rain is expected to hit Scarborough according to the Met Office

A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued across parts of Yorkshire and the North East, including Scarborough.

The alert will remain in place until 6am tomorrow meaning that today there could be a risk of flooding and disruption to bus and train services.

Spray and flooding on roads is also likely to make journey times longer.

According to the Met Office, this evening we'll see outbreaks of rain and drizzle across the Dales and Moors which will gradually ease overnight.

Tonight it will stay rather cloudy, with hill fog and strong winds continuing throughout.

On Thursday, rain will continue easing through the morning with sunny spells developing.
