Whitby coastguard team called to help injured walker on Cinder Track
Whitby Coastguards were called this morning to help a coastal walker on the Cinder Track.
The Whitby Coastguard Rescue Team were called out at 11.16am this morning after a walker had sustained a fall on the Cinder Track near Hawsker.
Casualty care was provided to the walker by the Coastguards until they were transferred into the care of an ambulance crew for further assessment.
This is latest in a number of falls over the Christmas period after a hyperthermic walker was rescued by Staithes Coastguard Team and the mountain rescue team was deployed to help a woman at Cleveland Way.If you see anyone in trouble at sea or on the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
