Woman hospitalised after horse fall

A 44-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after being thrown from her horse in Malton.

The rider suffered neck and back injuries in Malton and the Great North Air Ambulance were called to the scene at 12.20pm this afternoon (May 15).

The rider was flown to James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough where her condition was described as stable with her injuries not said to be life threatening.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service were also in attendance and treated the woman before being airlifted.
