Woman with injured wrist at Cayton Bay carried to safety on stretcher by rescue teams

Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team were called out to an injured woman in Cayton Bay woods.

The rescuers were asked by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to help find and evacuate the woman on Friday, at about 11.20am.

She had sustained a wrist injury in the woods and who was unable to make her way up the path to the road.

After locating the woman she was treated by a Yorkshire Ambulance Service crew before the rescue team, Scarborough & Burniston Coastguard Rescue Team and Filey Coastguard took her up the steep path on a strecther.

Once at the road she was transferred to the waiting ambulance.
