Work has begun on the first phase of a new cycle path at Kebbell Home’s popular Cornelian Fields development in Scarborough.

The path, which over time will form part of a much larger cycle network, has been built to link Cornelian Fields, Middle Deepdale, with a range of local amenities, including Eastfield, local schools and the nearby award winning beaches.

Throughout the development of the cycle route, every measure has been taken to ensure the path is sympathetic to its surrounding environment.

The path twists and turns through peaceful, scenic areas and past mature ponds, where the existing wildlife has not been disturbed.

Andrew Ramsay, senior site manager, said: “This first phase of the cycle path will be part of a wider cycle network that will grow with the development, creating opportunities for leisure and convenience for the people that live there. We have ensured that the path is hardwearing for safety.”
