Writing for human rights

AS PART of the annual international Human Rights Day, a ‘write-for-rights’ letter-writing activity will take place at Bookshelf in Victoria Road, Scarborough, on Saturday.

Running from 2 to 4pm, it is being organised by the local branch of Amnesty International.

The AmnesTea which was due to take place at the library on Saturday has been cancelled, as one of the organisers has been taken ill.

It will be rearranged, says Mike Gordon, who chairs the Scarborough branch.
